[Review] Murad Clarifying Cleanser

Bonjour :D

Summer break is almost here, school's almost over for the year, but this means exams are coming up. Plus, the weather's warming up, which equals the need for more oil control so I don't become like a shiny and greasy. I've been looking for a great cleanser to get rid of my blackheads, decrease the look of my pores, and keep me from becoming too oily (my T-zone is way more oily during the summer, especially my nose). During my search for the right cleanser, I happened upon this Murad Clarifying Cleanser. In all honesty, I literally just went to the Sephora website and scrolled through all their skin cleansers XD This was $26 from Sephora.

Murad's Clarifying Cleanser is supposed to reduce irritating surface bacteria and prevent acne breakouts. Also, there's actually a decent amount of product in the tube, so this should last a while.

This doesn't contain any parabens or extremely harmful ingredients as far as I can see (and as far as I think). However, it does contain fragrance...

The tube is sealed when you get it to make sure that it hasn't been opened before and is still sanitary, etc.

This foams when you use it, and you don't need a ton for each use. It smells citrusy and minty - very refreshing. After using this cleanser, my face didn't feel dried out and extremely tight :D I recommend this for people with combination oily or oily skin, and I personally think this is perfect to use for the summer. Compared to other cleansers I've used before, this one has done a much better job in controlling oil throughout the entire day.

Pros:
- Controls oil
- Smells decent
- Prevents breakouts well

Cons:
- Contains fragrance
- Doesn't get rid of blackheads/whiteheads

Repurchase? I most likely will.

  1. I actually used this product long time ago when I had acne but it actually broke out my skin even more. I wonder if the formula has improved... Glad its working for you ^_^

    1. I think this is great for preventing breakouts and keeping skin clear during the spring or summer as long as you don't use it too often, because I've found that constant and daily use of this product irritates my skin mildly and can cause the redness to appear more apparent. If you have oily or combination skin, I recommend retrying this during the summer (just make sure not to overuse - I use a gentle cleanser most mornings and nights, and I use this every few nights) :D
