[Review] LUSH Sunny Side Bubble Bar

Hello!

Ever since I found LUSH products and became obsessed, I started taking baths. Before I found LUSH, I hadn't taken a bath for years and years and years...which is kind of depressing. When I went to LUSH, I found the Sunny Side Bubble Bar and bought it because it was pretty, glittery, and smelled nice.

I think this was $7.25. I know it's pretty expensive for just a bubble bar, but I realized that instead of just using it once like what many people do, I can cut the bubble bar in half, getting two uses out of it (so I save money) XD

The gold glitters looked pretty intimidating at first, but I thought the bubble bar was gorgeous. An initial concern of mine was if the glitter would stick to me after I got out of the bath (that would be problematic) but the salesperson said that it wouldn't. Sunny Side smells amazing too - it's pretty citrusy and smells yummy, except the scent is fairly strong when it's still in this solid form.

Sorry I have no pictures of what the bubble bar looked like after dissolving in the bath - my bathroom lighting isn't great and my camera isn't exactly the best :(

I crumbled half of the bubble bar under the running water, and a fair amount of bubbles were made. I'm sure that if I crumbled the whole bar under that enormous amounts of bubbles would be made, but I like to save :D The water turns a pretty pale-ish yellow, and upon closer inspection you can see some glitter swirling around in the water. When dissolved, the scent is still citrusy - it reminds me of oranges for no apparent reason - but not too strong ^_^ And, thank goodness, none of the glitter stuck to me after I got out of the bath! However, my bathtub had a some lingering glitter, but I think it could be easily solved by rinsing the bath.

One complaint of mine is the ingredients. I would probably buy this again if not for the ingredients...I usually look closely at the ingredients list before I buy a product, but I don't know where to look to find LUSH's bubble bar ingredients at LUSH counters in Macy's. After purchasing this product, I browsed LUSH's website to find the ingredient list...and I was shocked. It contains Sodium Laureth Sulfate, which in my book is a fairly big no-no. It contains DEA (diethanolamine) too, so I guess I could say LUSH disappointed me this time with their ingredients they chose to use.

I still think this product is nice, it's just that I guess one could say that LUSH disappointed me with the ingredients used in this product.

Pros:
- Smells nice
- Gives decent amount of bubbles while only using half of a bar
- Looks beautiful when dissolved in water
- Glitter doesn't cling to your skin

Cons:
- Contains DEA (diethanolamine)
- Contains Sodium Laureth Sulfate
- Some glitter lingers in bathtub

Repurchase? Sadly no :( I would repurchase if not for the ingredients.
